Keeping makeup fresh and fabulous can be tough, even the most carefully applied, longest lasting makeup product will crumble by the end of the work day, to make it worse, sometimes it can’t even survive through midday! To put a stop to the face melt, we have come up with some quick fixes for you to revive that fresh look you began the day with.
First of all, completely remove all your lipstick and lip liner, not only because you don’t want the lipstick spread while you’re doing touchup, but a fresh application can complement your rejuvenated makeup. Apply a light layer of lip conditioner to soften and smooth your lips while you touch up the rest of your face.
For those who have oily skin, wipe the excess oil away with tissue paper or face-blotting papers. Once you have removed the excess oil from your face, use a clean makeup sponge to gently puff and smooth out your foundation, concealer and blush. Don’t forget to pay close attention to all edges as you go.
Then apply a little extra foundation or concealer under your eyes to highlight the centre of your face. After that, lightly dust translucent powder over the face with a kabuki brush to set the make up. Reapply your blush or bronzer and finish with a touch of highlight powder on the tops of your cheekbones.
If your eyeliner has smeared, clear off the smeared eyeliner with the edge of your sponge, reapply it with powdered shadow instead of a pencil. You can even get creative by adding extra eyeliner, smudged all around the eye with a brush or Q-tip to create a sexy smokey eye effect.
Finally, replying lip liner and lipstick, don’t forget to add a dab of lip gloss over your lips to give it a luscious gleam.
