Every time when girls go for workout, it is a dilemma. That is, how we can maintain our appearance when we are doing exercise.

I believe many girls will encounter this dilemma. Even know that workout is good for health, but the sweat during training will destroy our outlook, especially our hairstyles. How to take care of our hair before and after exercise seems to be a trivial matter, but in fact there is a lot of learning behind! The tips below will enable you to save a lot of time which is a mandatory course for all sports girls!

Choose the Right Hairstyle

Maybe we have a lot of similar experience before: choose an unsuitable hairstyle for sport, not only lead to inconvenience, but also affect our mood when exercising. Therefore, how to choose the right hairstyle is the key point that every girl should pay attention to before exercising!

Which types of hairstyles are good for sport? First at all, try to avoid the contact between hair and skin. Besides, choose the hairstyle which is suitable for the specific movement of the workout. For example, yoga and pilates always need to lie on floor. Then a high-heeled bun is the most suitable hairstyle because it allows the head to lie flat on the ground. On the other hand, when we are performing some intense aerobic exercises such as running, boxing etc., it is suggested to have a high pony tail with a headband. This hairstyle not only can absorb sweat, but it can also avoid hair dropping on the face. And braid is most suitable for riding bicycles, not only fancy, but not easy to loose under the helmet.

Don’t Touch Your Hair

Many people touch their hair unconsciously during the process of exercise. However, this action will stimulate the secretion of fat on the scalp. Together with the sweat during workout, the hair will become greasy. Someone might think that wearing a cap would be a good way to prevent hair from getting out of oil, but on the contrary! Exercising in a cap creates more heat on the scalp, leading to more severe sweating.

Blowing the Scalp with Cold Air to Reduce the Oil

If you cannot take a shower immediately after exercise, you can use shampoo powder in the middle of the head and massage with your hands before workout. This can help to absorb hair grease, and reduce hair sweating opportunities. If you do not have shampoo powder, you can make good use of the cold wind function of hair dryer, put the hair down first, and blow the cold air to the scalp and hair for about 2 to 3 minutes. By doing this, you can cool down and dry your hair quickly.
