We are all going excited and ‘luar biasa’ with the Hari Raya celebration happening soon, especially when this would be a timely reunion with family members and loved ones. For most of us, probably it will be an emotional one too since for two seasons Hari Raya celebration was not celebrated as planned due to the restrictions held during the pandemic.
All that is fading away as we are in the endemic phase to recovery, but that does not guarantee one to execute a ‘luar biasa’ reunion with some friendly reminders when it comes to a safe environment.
Some prep ideas to get this a memorable one;
- Arrange your visiting hours amongst family members so that the house is not crowded. By having a timetable, it would also allow ample time and space for everyone.
- Have a conducive environment and hygienically clean. It would be nice to prepare wipes and sanitiser just to keep things at bay. Open your windows and let the sun shine in through and the air circulation going.
- The celebration is also all about the lovely foods being served, so have all utensils properly clean if reusable. Even better, sterilize them.
- Be responsible to yourself and loved ones, if you caught symptoms of having fever and flu – best to isolate yourself from gathering.
