Searching for that extra bit of oomph to get off your bum and into a quick-paced run? Try some of our top tips to keep yourself motivated at the gym this summer.

1) Find a workout buddy

Let’s face it, a lot of the time we try to find any excuse not to go to the gym. We need to start by breaking out of seeing it as a boring routine, and instead look at it in a fun way. So, we suggest you drag your bezzie along with you. Combining your gym going with meeting a friend is the perfect way to make gym time a fun time. Besides, working out with a friend could bring out your inner competitive side.

3) Stop getting exercised about how you look

A huge motivator can be your health. Just think about how much stronger your body is getting and how you’re pushing your boundaries. But if that still isn’t enough, consider your gym time a way of sticking it to your doubters – and focus on how you’re going to prove them wrong!
