It’s HOT in the summer – a perfect time to show off in shorts and crop tops, but only if you have something to show off! Want to lose weight without an intense workout plan? Here are 4 quick ways to help you get the job done, even when you’re feeling lazy!
- 5-Minute Breathing Exercise
Japanese “diet king” Miki Ryosuke developed this exercise: Stand upright evenly on both feet. Place one hand on your abdomen and the other hand on your lower back. Inhale for 3 seconds while tightening your body muscles intensely, and then exhale for 7 seconds and relax your muscles.
- 1-Minute Workout Routine
Do this when you get up in the morning and before you sleep (okay, technically that makes it a 2 minute workout J), when you are lying down in bed. Start with your legs slightly apart. Then, lift one leg and hold for 5 seconds. Switch to the other leg and do the same. Repeat this routine 5 times. Experts suggest that if you keep doing this in the morning and at night on a daily basis, you can lose more than 2kg in one month.
- Stand for Half an Hour After Meals
Even screen goddess Shu Qi uses this trick to lose weight: After each meal, stand up for at least half an hour. As you do, squeeze the muscle around your calf. This is effective in toning your legs and can even prevent your bottom from gaining weight – a must-try for all office ladies! Here’s an extra tip – half an hour goes by quickly when you are watching TV!
- Drink Water
Does drinking water really help lose weight? The benefits are proven! Drink 1.5-2 litres of water every day at the following intervals: When you wake up in the morning, before meals, and after your shower. The key here is to drink warm water, which works well in burning fat.
Totally doable, right? You don’t have to sweat profusely to lose weight! You can stay lazy and still burn fat, so get in the swing of things each day!
